The school started in 1998. "I could never manage to return to a traditional way of teaching", says Ulf Meeg, teacher at Nesodden upper secondary school. (Aftenposten 240807)

Between 1999-2001 it was a project. From 2001 all students have laptops. Today 740 students and 100 employees have one laptop each.

In all subjects, NO private laptops, the student is NOT an administrator on her laptop. Wireless network, Learning management system (it'sLearning) All the student have: information, period plans, schedule, activities, lesson plan. They can make tests in it'sLearning. The students can get the results right away. The students have possibilities to ask questions in the message board. Plans on digital calendar (weeks activities). Handling of all written work: assignments, project, memos, group work, tests, gradin, etc. Six months' plan published on it'sLearning. Assignments in mathematics with specific software. Digital introduction of new topics (PPT or other forms). Big use of Internet. Correcting assignments…

The Nesodden School have chosen to have school computers. Why school computers and not private ones? Because they don't want the students to be administrators on their computers. The students, when they had private computers, also used the computers more to surf around the internet and did useless things…

No new things for me, but interesting to see anyway.

Inledning av kvällen: Två vackra sånger av en gitarrist och en sångerska. Fantastisk röst!

Ove skåra, The Norwegian Data Inspectorate: Schools campaign on personal information protection: "You decide…"

The real challenge is not to secure the right to privacy for the few that asks for help, but t get all the others to look upon privacy as a valuable good. (Umberto Eco)

"The one which do not have knowledge can ´not take responsibility… The one which do have knowledge, cannot disclaim responsibility"

Being aware of the communication     identify the message,         interpret and understand the message,     accept the senders arguments,     change of attitudes,         decide, in principle, to change my behavior,     a factual change of behavior,         the new behavior is reinforced and consolidated.

They have made a brochure "You decide… thoughts and facts about protecting your personal data". There is also a website; www.dubestemmer.no In English; http://www.dubestemmer.no/english.php

The films in the project is made by students in schools which have media programme. Six new movies will be ready on Sunday march 3rd.
